Icons Not Appearing
Latest update: November 20, 2019 | Reading time: 1 to 2 minutesDo the icons on the website not show up as expected? This common error is usually related to the configuration of the website. To restore the icons, you need to check WordPress settings.
In particular, go to Dashboard > Settings > General and make sure the address on WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) corresponds to the actual address of your website. If you have recently installed an SSL key and switched to HTTPS then you should immediately update both fields to the new address (including “s” after “http”). This is essential, not only for the theme but for several WordPress plugins who use this information.
Another thing you should check, especially if you have recently updated the theme, is to reset the Theme Options Icon Libraries section to force the theme index the icons. To do so, go to Dashboard > Theme Options > Advanced > Icon Libraries and click on Reset Section.
If the above solutions don’t work then you may have fallen to a rare case where the file permissions are not adequate for the site to work as expected. In that case, please take a few moments to review the official reference page of WordPress, available on this address https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-file-permissions/
