The called constructor method for WP_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0
Latest update: February 1, 2017 | Reading time: 1 to 2 minutesWordPress 4.3 is just released ( 18th August 2015 ) and, among others, it includes an important change that makes all themes and plugins containing widgets to produce the following notice:
Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use __construct() instead. In ...wp-includesfunctions.php on line 3457
Keep in mind that all your widgets will still work normally and you will NOT experience this notice on installations that have WP_DEBUG set to false . Practically, this is not something to worry about, however it can be annoying on development installations.
Our Cleanstart WP theme is already updated to 1.4.5 version which includes fixes for those notices…so just update to 1.4.5 and those notices will disappear! If you are still getting those after updating to 1.4.5, this means that you use a non-updated plugin ( or more ) that contain widgets. Make sure to get the latest update for those plugins too.
